It’s been just over 4 months since the opening of the “Annie Leibovitz: The Early Years” exhibit at the Luma Foundation in Arles, France. Silhouette Studio was brought in to oversee the final printing of the exhibition. It is the first project dedicated exclusively to the origins of Annie’s career, featuring her work from 1968 to 1983.

As a printer, it’s our job is to make stories feel cohesive even when they are shot by different photographers, or have multiple end uses. The exhibition prints needed to have continuity and feel true to their era. Now, imagine doing that to the scale of over 8,000 images!
